The Big One
Theme-park/carnival builder game with 7 playable characters, seasonal Halloween content and a full building-art pipeline.

The Big One is a substantial carnival/theme-park builder: a texture atlas alone shows fairground stalls, ride pieces and UI callouts for concessions ("Speedy Pass", "Candy Floss", "Popcorn"), backed by 7 fully modeled and textured playable characters (Amanda, Gloria, Hector, Jackie, Mariella, Ozzie, Teddy) each with animation controllers and character-select variants.
The project also includes a full seasonal Halloween content pack (in-game overlay, particle FX from Cartoon FX) plus store-monetization SDKs (Fyber, Google Play services), and totals roughly 40,000 files at 4GB, making it by far the largest and most complete prototype in this batch.

What I did
- 01Built/animated 7 playable characters with per-character animation controllers and selection screens
- 02Assembled building and environment art atlases for a carnival/theme-park setting
- 03Implemented a seasonal Halloween content update with custom overlay art and particle FX
- 04Integrated Fyber ad mediation and Google Play services
What stands out
- 017 distinct, fully textured playable characters, each with dedicated animation controllers
- 02~40,000 files / ~4GB project — the largest prototype in this body of work
- 03Shipped a seasonal (Halloween) content update with custom art
- 04An earlier snapshot from Aug 2015 shows the carnival/theme-park build included a rollercoaster/ride track-building system: placeholder Blender models for track curves, twists, straights and elevation pieces.
- 05That same earlier snapshot used the Soomla in-app-purchase/economy framework (Android billing services for both Amazon and Google Play) and asset-store scenery packs as environment dressing around the carnival build, before those were reworked in the later Fyber/Google-Play-services build.
